Picture
Know your goals in life, plan it properly are the way to succeed and to achieve financial freedom. What are your goals in life? Is it realistic, reachable and workable? Well, we all have goals in life to achieve. But setting you goal is very important in planning ahead. Some people unfortunately set goals that lack clear definition.

Goals establish the same type of boundaries for people establishing parameters for actions. Goals limit your options in the short term in order to expand them in the long term; goals give you the path; prevent you from dissipating energy and resources to no useful purpose. Goals enables you to bring strength, order, and momentum into the unpredictable and frightening marketplace.

Goals in life  is serve as market segment of upscale people to the best of its ability, its strategy and tactics will be defined by that goal.

Set Your Specific Goals

Keep in mind that goals are the building blocks of your mission and your roles in life. From these goals you can create specific action plans that will help you succeed in your roles and fulfill your mission. The following are the guidelines in setting up goals:

  • Have a time frame of your goals.  Since goals can be lifelong, intermediate, or short term, break your goals into steps, each with its own deadlines. When all deadlines are reached, you have now reached your overall goal. For example, some goals takes a lifetime to achieve. To accomplish them, you can break them into smaller steps, perhaps five-year or eight-year plan goals.
  • Set expressive goals.   Make positive statements such as "I will speak well of everybody I associate with instead "I won't spread gossip about my friends". Try to be precise. Putting dates, times and amounts that can help measure your achievements is better than just putting generalized statements which are better for your personal mission statement.
  • Prioritize your goals.  When you have several goals, give each priority. This helps you to avoid getting intimidated or bogged down by too many goals, and help focus your attention towards the more important ones. Keeping your goals small and concise also makes them easier to fulfill.
  • Base your goals on action, not just outcome.  Set goals which you know have the power to achieve imagine your disappointments if you fail to achieve a goal for reasons beyond your control such as unfavorable conditions, poor judging or bad influence. It's nice to dream to become a President to your own country, but the questions is that, its that what you really want?
  • Be particular and specific to your goals.   Be as specific as possible, but not too detailed. For instance, if your goal is to "avoid getting too fat in the future:, isn't it better to state how you can avoid getting too fat? It could be "avoid getting too fat by refraining from eating foods like ..." instead.
  • Make it realistic.   always set a goals that are based on your expectations, not on what others expect of you. It's what you want, and not what they want.
  • Go beyond your goals.   Visualize the other things you wish to achieve upon accomplishing one goal. There is no such thing as running out of goals. Once you accomplish one goal. there's still a lot more to do. Alexander the Great conquered many kingdoms, yet wept when he was told that there were still other worlds to be conquered.

Lifelong goals in life should include major decisions on things such as your career, your financial vision, and your family. Effective goal setting should also cover different time spans. Set your main objectives first, then break them in to smaller goals such as medium-range and short-range.

You'll have to plan a lot of goals, for while some goals will definitely sprout and bloom, others simply won't. In setting your goals, you should also be flexible enough to allow some change to occur.
