Gift Wrapping
Everyone loves a present. But wrapping one creatively is a talent that is worth money. It is a talent that is worth money. It is a skill that can be learned, with practice. But some leftover holiday wrap and get a few boxes. Visit the local craft supply store and develop a style. You can even have personalized stickers printed saying “Specially wrapped for you by . . .”

You can pick up your client’s gifts at their home or office and return them the next day. Or you can get up a booth during holiday season at the local mall. Business cards and/or a flayer or small brochure will help spread word of your unique business.

It’s hard to charge an hourly rate since it only takes a short while to wrap a gift. So you might be better setting a rate chart based on size and complexity. To get some idea of what a typical package might cost, time yourself using 1 $30 per hour rate.

If a gift takes five minutes, your time would be worth $2.50, plus materials. If the wrapping is simple – paper and bow- then $3.50 would be the fair price.
