Who has time to wash, wax and buff their car? If you do, then get to it. You can go door-to-door or set up shop in a business parking lot. Many companies provide a service to their employees if you work on-site. Then rotate your schedule so you’ll hit a different office building each day.

To get started you’ll need auto wash and wax, sponges, a hose, a bucket, window cleaner, towels, an electric buffer, extension cords and a car vacuum.

Hourly rates run from $30 to $40. If it takes an hour for each car, it’s possible to rake in nearly $300 for a single day’s efforts.
