Winter Blues
Winter is the time of the year when people with seasonal affective disorder start to feel bad. People who have it usually know it-but not always.

It's a depression, often severe, that comes on in winter months and  it's a believed to be related to lack of exposure to light. People feel lethargic, irritable, and depressed; many crave carbohydrates and tend to gain weight. It's more common in the northern latitudes, affecting many people in Alaska, and few here in southern Arizona. Twice as many women as men experience this disorder.
