Durian Fruit
The word alone DURIAN evokes contrasting reactions from people who dislike the offensive smell, to people who found enlightenment after eating it.
Durian known scientifically as Durio zibethinus, durian originated from the Malay archipelago. Durian intense smell is the main reason why many people don't like to eat and it is also off limits to hotels and public transport especially in the airplane. Smuggling it as a hand-carried item into an airplane can be as risky as the terrorist act of carrying a bomb. By some curious coincidence, durian belongs to the tree family known as Bombaceae.
