How much safer is decaf than regular coffee?
Although new caffeine extraction methods seem to preserve the flavor of a good cup of coffee, decaffeinated coffee is not necessarily the answer for java junkies. Decaf retains enough caffeine to affect sensitive individuals. It also contains other substances naturally found in the coffee beans that can have irritating effects on the body. For example, decaffeinated coffee can be just as rough on the stomach as regular coffee.
