The world equates success with high positions and material prosperity. Many Christians accept the world’s concept of success and follow the world’s model of life. I am not saying that working for a promotion or owning a nice car and house are bad. It’s not the activities which I am focusing on, but the motivation. Why do we want a promotion? Why are we eager to acquire a house and a car? If it is to meet our needs, well and good. But if it is to boost our ego, then we are being worldly.
We serve a supernatural God. He delights to prove to us that He is true to His promises and that He still loves us. One way He does this is by providing care for us that proves us beyond a doubt that He did it. Malachi 3:10 in the New Living Translation says: “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” say the Lord almighty, “I will open the window of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Let me prove it to you!”
"Therefore I say unto you, Take no though for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body than raiment?"
Living today is complicated. Many things clutter up our lives and tie us down. Just think of the unnecessary confusion and anxiety caused by a computer problem and other kind of problems occur. those "wired" to the computer worried so much about what the future would bring.
The Word of God has much to say about the blessings promised to those who love God and walk in His Ways. The Bible is filled with many wonderful promises of blessing for God's children, and these promises pertain to every area of life.
The Bible says "God is not a respecter of persons." Therefore, the promises contained in God's Word are available to you. You can experience God's blessing in every area of your life. But to experience God's blessings, you must know what His Word promises.
