Used Car
The main difference between buying a new car and a used car is the number of variables that enter into the negotiation process.

When you buy a new car, you can have a reasonable assumptions that the car has been driven only a few dozen miles in testing and that it has not suffered any accident damage. Beyond that you have a reasonable expectation of service under the manufacturer’s warranty from the dealership. And you can make some assumptions about the car’s life expectancy and future resale value based on the history of other vehicles from those manufacturers that were sold as new.
